Need a cute party food for Halloween? You'll want to make these fun and delicious Mummy Jalapeno Poppers!

They are so quick to pop in the air fryer and cook. They come out so crispy and cheesy. Since the seeds and ribs are removed from the jalapeno, they're not too spicy either. The cheese and crescent wrap help tame down any extra heat. You can serve them with ranch for dipping, or they're also great as is too.

We are absolutely obsessed with our air fryer lately, so I've been throwing everything in there to cook,  instead of turning on the oven.

My nephew had fun helping with the crescent part of the recipe and he also helped with candy eyes when they were finished and cooled down slightly.

We all enjoyed them and they're sure to be a hit at any Halloween gathering.

Air Fryer Mummy Jalapeno Poppers Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 - 8 ounce can of crescent rolls
  • 6 fresh jalapeños
  • 1 - 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar jack cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 24 candy eyeballs
  • ranch dressing for dipping, optional

Instructions

  1. Roll out crescent roll dough leaving individual rolls together. Pinch closed the perforations.
  2. Place dough between two sheets of parchment paper. Roll flat to 1/8” thick.
  3. Cut slices long ways to mimic mummy wrap. Set aside.
  4. Clean and prepare jalapeños by slicing them open, removing the seeds and endocarp (the whitish membrane that seeds are attached to), and rinsing the insides out. Try to leave the stem intact. Provides a perfect handle.
  5. Add cheeses and garlic to a mixing bowl and whip with a hand mixer until light and airy.
  6. Fill the inside of the jalapeños with the cheese mixture.
  7. Wrap the jalapeños in the dough to mimic a mummy. You can overlap the dough but the dough will expand so do not over-wrap the jalapeños. You want to see the jalapeños under the wrapping.
  8. Whisk the egg in a small bowl and brush over the wrapped jalapeños.
  9. Place in a parchment-lined air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes at 375 degrees F or until the dough is golden brown.
  10. Once cooked remove and let cool. Place two eyes on each jalapeño pushing into the cheese filling.
  11. Serve with ranch dressing.
