The recipe I'm sharing today is SO addicting! These Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Twists are a favorite for kids and adults too.

In less than 30 minutes including prep, dinner can be on the table. I serve these cheesy pizza twists with some pizza or marinara sauce on the side and a salad to make it a complete meal.

It's great for lunch, dinner or an appetizer for parties or movie night.

This recipe is so easy, your kids can help make them or make it themselves depending on their age. You can use pizza dough from the refrigerated section at the grocery store, or use your favorite homemade dough recipe.

You can skip the pepperoni and just make the pizza twists with only cheese too! No matter how you make them, they turn out delicious every time!

Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Twists

Ingredients

  • 14 ounces pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • ¼ cup pepperoni
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ cup marinara or pizza sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 Degrees F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle about ⅛ inch thick.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella and pepperoni evenly over half of the dough.
  5. Fold the half of the pizza dough without the mozzarella over the half with the mozzarella and press the edges to seal them together.
  6. Cut the dough into ½ inch strips.
  7. Twist the strips and then place them at least 2 inches apart on the parchment lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the twists start to turn golden brown.
  9. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley.
  10. Use a pastry brush to brush the twists evenly with melted butter.
  11. Serve warm, with sauce, if desired.

Notes

I recommend using freshly shredded cheese whenever possible for better taste, texture and melting.
